Is there any hope now?

Tuesday, January 23, 2007
I'll be honest, my enthusiasm waned considerably after it became a bit of a reality that Condi was not running. But now, months later, with a dem controlled congress and a Hillary now having made it official. I'm asking, is there still any hope of a Condi run? I know the answer is no, but, Her stock went up again tremendously. Remember the Nike slogan Condi....JUST DO IT.

Condoleezza Rice, the fashion icon

Friday, August 04, 2006
rediff.com: Condoleezza Rice, the fashion icon

Very nice indeed. Whether she takes a stab at the Oval Office or not, I love this woman. I can't wait to see what she does after this term as Sec State. She needs to get out of the State Department, too many reds left over from 8 years of Bubba. Anyhow, check out this slide show.

Condi passes on whimsical for Brahams

Friday, July 28, 2006
Gulf Times – Qatar’s top-selling English daily newspaper - Philippines/East Asia: "

She arrived at the Istana hotel in downtown Kuala Lumpur for the annual gala dinner wearing a glamorous red dress and red jacket made of traditional Malaysian batik material.

The dress was designed by Faisol Abdullah, a friend of the Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, and was custom-made for Rice.

Regional ministers swooned over the performance as they left the dinner. “Oh, beautiful, beautiful. She’s a great pianist. She’s a concert pianist,” said Philippines Foreign Secretary Alberto Romulo, who insisted that despite the geopolitical realities a good time was had by all.

No Agreement on Mideast Cease-Fire

Wednesday, July 26, 2006
BREITBART.COM - No Agreement on Mideast Cease-Fire
Stand your grand Condi!! Awesome!

Almost every nation attending the conference in Rome has pressed Rice to call for an immediate end to the fighting on the Israeli-Lebanese border.

"But Rice stood her ground in two days of diplomacy in Lebanon and Israel and the West Bank. Rather than a quick fix, she has repeatedly said the region needs enduring solutions, and other U.S. officials have raised doubts about an immediate cease-fire between Israel and Hezbollah fighters in the south of Lebanon."

World Leaders Urge Condoleezza Rice To Take NFL Commissioner's Job

Thursday, July 06, 2006
C'mon, this is pretty funny...

World Leaders Urge Condoleezza Rice To Take NFL Commissioner's Job | The Onion - America's Finest News Source: "'We live in uncertain and chaotic times, and America never needed Condoleezza Rice more,' Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said in an international radio address Tuesday. 'With radicals in the NFL Player's Association demanding a new collective-bargaining agreement, and instability threatening the very revenue-sharing structure that professional football was built upon, she is clearly a stabilizing figure who must help unify this sport.'"

Sounding more than a little presidential

Tuesday, July 04, 2006
It pains me that I am not able to sit down and blog thoughtfully during these hectic days...I miss
completely many many blogworthy items. Case in point. These excerpts from the Southern Baptist Convention two weeks ago. This sounds like a SOTU address, does it not? Does she have a speechwriter? This sounds fantastic, though rough around the edges, but any Condi supporter should be able to notice the departure from previous Sec of State
speeches to this stylistically presedential speech. Enjoy.

'Condistas' want Rice for president in 2008 - Yahoo! News

Monday, July 03, 2006
'Condistas' want Rice for president in 2008 - Yahoo! News: "'The people running the Bush administration, and pushing for the geopolitical repositioning we're seeing take place around the world, would be happy to see that kind of person keep political power down the road,' he said.

Backers like Rice for her intelligence, poise, self-reliance (she would also be America's first single president), values, and ability to carry on Bush's international agenda."

------

Yep, that' s basically why I'm here. Enigmatic. Natural leader. Perfect? No. Deserving and poised to lead our nation in 2008? Easily.

Rice puts $5 million bounty on the FNG

Sunday, July 02, 2006
Rice puts $5 million bounty on Al-Masri - Yahoo! News:
WASHINGTON - Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Friday approved up to $5 million in exchange for information on Abu Ayyub al-Masri, the new face of al-Qaida in Iraq. Al-Masri is presumed to be the successor of terrorist leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who was killed by an American bomb in early June.
----------------

Any wagers about how long this FNG lasts? I give him about 4-6 months before someone rings the register and gives the Americans the coordinates.

Condi makes front cover of Globe!

Sunday, June 18, 2006
It was too great. How many of you saw the Globe front cover that Laura has walked out on Dubya because she found out about his affair with Condi? Oh it was so funny. They also showed a photo of a hotel where Laura allegedly stayed after a meltdown with Dubya. They also have a picture of Dubya with his arm around Condi. It was just so hilarious. It's all fact! Serious! If it's in the Globe, it's gotta be true! Heck, my wife loved it and she doesn't follow politics at all. I just love wacky tabloids...maybe I'll get it this afternoon and post the whole story. It would be just too entertaining. Could it even be a collector's item I wonder?
